The Hong Kong Mountain Biking
Association
The Hong Kong Mountain Biking Association is working to develop
high quality mountain bike trail access in Hong Kong. The
organisation also promotes mountain bike tourism, provide
information on the sport to tourists and promotes increased
environmental awareness through participation in eco-friendly
sporting activities.

Chapter 4 of the Hong Kong Road User's Code applies to cyclists on
the road.
Clear The Air
The 100 per cent volunteer-based Clear The Air promotes the
introduction and implementation of measures to significantly reduce
air pollution in Hong Kong.
Friends of the Earth (Hong
Kong)
Local green group Friends of The Earth engages in a range of
activities including recycling promotion and campaigns ranging from
upholding environmental justice to monitoring government
environmental and planning policies. It also an organiser of solar
cart races.

International
Cyclists to Asia
Hong Kong-based International Cyclists to Asia (ICA) has organised
cycling tours in China since 1984, with destinations including
South China, Xian and Beijing, Mongolia and the Great Wall. ICA
also offers cycling tours to Vietnam, Malaysia and New Zealand.

This local company believes most tourists "stay here for 2 to 3
days and miss a great opportunity to see the other side of Hong
Kong". The company organises mountain biking tours in Sai Kung
Country Park, and also works with Government bodies to protect
these areas.

The UK Government aims to increase cycle trips fourfold by
2010.

Franklin
Author of Cyclecraft: Skilled Cycling Technique for Adults,
published by the UK Gov't Stationary Office and endorsed by the
Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. This is one of the
best books on functional cycling, especially for those as yet
unfamiliar with vehicular cycling techniques. The site contains
many other relevant articles from this highly experienced bicycle
advocate and 'expert witness'.

The guru of vehicular cycling. Key statement: "Cyclists fare best
when they act and are treated as drivers of vehicles".
Sustrans
UK charity which has already sponsored 6,500 miles of cycle routes
in Britain - The National Cycle network, which is set to double in
a few years.

The largest UK cycling email list, debating the issues confronting
cyclists using British roads. The list aims to discuss the
political, cultural and economic realities concerning the changes
